چکیده

This paper provides explicit analytical expressions for displacement and stress fields in a multilayered composite cylinder with cylindrically orthotropic layers subjected to homogeneous boundary conditions. The solutions are derived in the assumption of perfect bonding between layers. The components of displacement, strain and stress are expressed in terms of the integration constants found from boundary conditions by utilizing the transfer matrix approach. Several examples are considered. The approach is validated by comparing with previously known solutions. 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Torsion of cylindrically poroelasic circular shaft with radial inhomogeneity .some exact solutions for extruder

Torsion of elastic and poroelastic circular shaft of radially inhomogeneous, cylindrically orthotropic materials is studied with emphasis on the end effects example for extruder. To examine the conjecture of Saint-Venant’s torsion, we consider torsion of circular shaft with one end fixed and the other end free on which tractions that results in a pure torque are prescribed arbitrarily over the fr...

A New Three-Dimensional Refined Higher-Order Theory for Free Vibration Analysis of Composite Circular Cylindrical Shells

A new closed form formulation of three-dimensional (3-D) refined higher-order shell theory (RHOST) to analyze the free vibration of composite circular cylindrical shells has been presented in this article. The shell is considered to be laminated with orthotropic layers and simply supported boundary conditions. The proposed theory is used to investigate the effects of the in-plane and rotary ine...

Non-Local Thermo-Elastic Buckling Analysis of Multi-Layer Annular/Circular Nano-Plates Based on First and Third Order Shear Deformation Theories Using DQ Method

In present study, thermo-elastic buckling analysis of multi-layer orthotropic annular/circular graphene sheets is investigated based on Eringen’s theory. The moderately thick and also thick nano-plates are considered. Using the non-local first and third order shear deformation theories, the governing equations are derived. The van der Waals interaction between the layers is simulated for multi-...

Mesh-free Dynamic Analyses of FGM Sandwich Plates Resting on A Pasternak Elastic Foundation

This study analyzes the free vibration, forced vibration, resonance, and stress wave propagation of orthotropic sandwich plates made of functionally graded materials (FGMs). Dynamic analyses are conducted using a mesh-free method based on first-order shear deformation theory and the shape functions constructed using moving least squares approximation. The sandwich plates are rested on a Pastern...
